The web is stateless — a page has no memory of the page that came before it. A cookie is a small text file that a website leaves on your device so that the next page knows something the last page already established: that you are the same visitor, that you have already dismissed a notice, that a form you are submitting genuinely came from this site.
That is the whole of what we use this mechanism for. This website is a service website, not an advertising business, and there is no commercial reason for us to follow you anywhere.

Strictly necessary items do not require your consent, because without them the part of the site you asked for simply cannot work. Anything optional is used only where you have agreed to it, and blocking it costs you nothing on this website.
Some pages use your browser's local storage — a mechanism similar to a cookie — for small conveniences: remembering that you have already dismissed a notification, or that a message has already been shown today. This stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
If you add this website to your phone's home screen, your browser may keep a small cache of pages so that it opens quickly and still works when the network is poor. You can clear that by removing the shortcut or clearing site data for this website.
You are always in charge, and you do not need our permission. Every browser lets you see, block and delete what a website has stored:

What breaks if you block everything? On the public side, nothing. Services, fees, guides, city pages, documents and contact details all work normally. A dismissed banner may reappear, and a form may ask you to try again because the security token could not be stored. Your booking, your documents and your certificate are entirely unaffected.
This website loads a web font and an icon set from third-party content networks so that pages render correctly. These do not set advertising cookies.
When you tap a WhatsApp button, a call button or a link to a government portal or a map, you leave this website and arrive somewhere that sets its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those, and we cannot switch them off for you. Please read that site's own policy if it matters to you. Where a payment is taken, it is handled on the payment provider's own page under the provider's own terms.
If we add anything to what this website stores, the table in Section 2 is updated before we do it, and the date at the top of this page changes with it.
